Senior Data Engineer - Hybrid/Lisbon (€DOE)

Our client is a software company specializing in Digital Business Building. Their strategic focus areas are in automotive, aerospace and chemistry and our client leads the charge in delivering unparalleled solutions. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and manage the implementation of data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain large-scale data processing systems and machine learning pipelines.
• Implement systems for tracking data quality and consistency.
• Work on optimization, performance analysis, and tuning of various data management systems.
• Ensure software platforms and data handling comply with company's security guidelines and the SDLC processes.
• Lead and manage large-scale AI projects, working with cloud platforms for developing and deploying models.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, specifically in large scale AI projects and production applications.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in Go, Java, or other modern languages.
• Extensive experience with database systems, both SQL and NoSQL, and related technologies.
• Expertise in distributed systems (Kafka) and orchestration systems (Kubernetes).
• Deep understanding of designing and building scalable and robust data infrastructure.
• Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
• Strong understanding of system architecture and data pipeline construction.

The client will shortly open a new office in Lisbon so will look for a hybrid working pattern.
