Machine Learning/NLP Data Scientist - Hybrid/Lisbon €DOE

Our client is a software company specializing in Digital Business Building. Their strategic focus areas are in automotive, aerospace and chemistry and our client leads the charge in delivering unparalleled solutions. Here's the brief:-

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement state-of-the-art NLP and machine learning models to extract insights, information retrieval from unstructured text data, fine tune language models.
• Design and build scalable and efficient data pipelines for processing and transforming large volumes of textual data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists and Software Engineers, to integrate NLP and machine learning solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in NLP and ML research.
• Utilize cloud-based platforms and infrastructure to deploy, monitor, and maintain NLP and ML models in production environments.
• Conduct performance analysis and optimization of NLP and ML algorithms, fine-tuning models for accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Natural Language Processing
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Hands-on experience with building and deploying NLP models in real-world applications.
• Familiarity with both traditional machine learning techniques and deep learning architectures for NLP tasks.
• Strong understanding of data preprocessing techniques for text data and the ability to work with structured and unstructured data sources.
• Familiar with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying NLP and machine learning solutions.

The client will shortly open a new office in Lisbon so will look for a hybrid working pattern.
